Final Bid

First...it's a good thing I didn't wait to put the bid in because I'm actually an hour behind the Auction timer. But the Final Bid for Team Madward is in, and our total, with THIRTEEN members, is $77. If you donated since the first of the month, you probably haven't gotten an email from me yet - but that doesn't mean that I haven't gotten your pledge submission - if you submitted and you're not listed below the break, shoot me an email.

Holy crap!

At around 11:30 this morning (Central time, where I am) - Team Madward hit $72 in pledges, with 12 team members.

When I was filling out the form to be put in the FGB directory and on the Teams compilation page-thing that had been set up, I asked Tara what she thought a good goal would be for the team - and we agreed on $50.

Needless to say, we've met and exceeded that goal. We were at $49 last night when I went to bed, too, which would have still made me very happy, but $72?

Holy-freaking...

I'd like to thank everyone who has joined Team Madward, and if anyone else still wants to be a part of this - I'll give you until 10:30 PM Central Time to get the form filled out.

Welcome to Team Madward!

Hi, I'm Nicole, and I love fanfic...oh, wait, this isn't Fanficaholics Anonymous, is it?

Nope. This is Team Madward, for the Twilight Fandom Gives Back - Eclipse!

Team Madward? We're all about the Edward from the a-MAZING fic A Madman's Mercy, which is co-authored by AmethystJackson and JacyEvans.

And Amethyst (whom I will henceforth refer to as Katie, since it's just easier for me to do so) is auctioning off an outtake from Madward's POV!

How'd this team come about? Well...it's funny. Katie was advertising her auctions (yeah, auctions - there are two other one-shots, a Bonne Foi outtake, and a new fic that has it's own Team Captainward), and two had no bids. Well, it only took ten minutes for one of those auctions to have not just one, but two bids (from myself and Demosthenes91, aka Tara), which led to the three of us deciding over Twitter (@nlfrederick, @InTheSubtext, and @amethystjackson) that perhaps Madward deserves his own team.

And so, though we are starting with only two people, we are hoping that there are others who love and MISS Madward as much as Tara and I do. You don't have to donate much to join - $1 minimum, because even my poor college student self can afford that much - and then hold out for the results, because as long as I've known Katie online (and trust me...it's been a looong time), I've never read a fic of hers I didn't enjoy.

But then...if you're even contemplating joining Team Madward, you already know that, don't you?
